Here goes our weekly report again now that we have returned to Peaks. It was an uneventful flight on Thursday except we were about the last to board the flight. We were having coffee and donuts and vaguely heard the flight announced, but when we wandered over to the gate, which was only feet away, there were people everywhere. Fortunately we decided to ask at the gate and out they had already loaded the flight and were waiting for a few stragglers like us. It was a long day, however.
It has continued to be on the cool side, but this week it should reach the upper 80s and then get down to normal again. Dong has faithfully shown up for coffee each morning and we have been discussing what we really plan to do this year to the house. He always has time for us although there is still a small section of shingling he needs to finish. He also had his car towed away from our lot while we were gone. Now all we have is a Hawes car. They will be arriving tomorrow morning for the night and to pick up their car. We will pick them up and do some shopping on the way.
Today, Sunday, Mom and Dad were up at 0630 to go help with the 5th Maine pancake breakfast. It was busy, busy, busy and we didn't finally leave until noon. Even after we left we kept stopping to talk with people. Anyway, we were a bit on the pooped side this afternoon and both napped a bit, Mom more than Dad, but Dad won't be too peppy tomorrow. It takes him the next day, after a really busy day, to recover.
That is about it for this abbreviated week.
Love, Mom and Dad
