Yes, we did make it and we had delightful visits along the way with Aunt Mary & Uncle Walter, Mike and Aunt Dottie. The house was in fine condition and Dong had arranged to have the hay cut so now it looked pretty much like grass when we arrived. We had a very full car particularly after spending the night at the Naval Air Station, Brunswick, and going to the commissary in the morning before going to the Island. Incidentally, the succession movement died in the legislature yesterday. That should be about it for at least a few years.
Sunday Dong took us out to dinner with his sister at 2 Lights where we ate well and had a great time. Yesterday Mom and I took the car to town (yes, we have parking through October) and without going into great detail we visited 13 places in the process. We also had to get a connector for the computer to hook up the monitor. I almost brought the piece from home, but then decided it must be on this unit. Not so! It took 3 stops just to find it. We ended up forgetting to bring the connector back home with us. I went to get it this morning when I was going to get the car inspected. I suddenly realized this was the last day of the month and the inspection on the car was good through June so I got that changed until next Wednesday.
As for the computer (Mac for those who don't know) it took us all afternoon to get it up and running on DSL. I must say I was on the verge of saying the hell with it and going to buy a new PC. I didn't though and here I am sending my first message.
More Sunday if anything reportable happens.
Love, Mom and Dad
