WEATHER: First part of the week was pretty, the later part overcast, w/drizzle and some rain. High was 63 on the 6th and the low 39 on the 9th.
Sunday was calm and peaceful after our busy Elderhosel week. The Silver Shadow cruise ship was here but we missed its leaving sometime after 2200. Rather a late time for cruise ships. After all the big meals of the past week we had a light breakfast, church and watched the NE-Miami game, the only one we got. Actually we didn't see much of it because we kept getting interrupted by one thing or another.
Monday was doctor stuff all day long. Caught the 0815 boat and managed to catch the 1735 back to the island. Breakfast of delicious blueberry pancakes at the Public Market and Chinese for late lunch with popcorn for supper.
Tuesday - We just took the day off and worked around the house. Wed and Thu was all doctor stuff addressed in separate E-mails. Friday a really big cruise ship arrived, the Brilliance of the Seas. The neat thing for these cruise ships this year is they most always go along side the state pier. Mom caught an early boat to town to retrieve her purse she had left in the car. That was the excitement for the day.
Saturday - The cardiology group that takes care of me called on Friday to tell me to take a bunch of pills before bedtime Sunday, only they are a prescription. They were nice enough to mail them to me so we wouldn't have to go in town to picked them up at a drug store. They really had to pay, but the system worked and they arrived first thing this the morning in the mail. Rather nice of them we thought. The medium sized cruise ship Regal Empress was here today and it must have been her final visit of the year because the fire boat was out spraying water when she left. Last week when she was here she was fined for pumping oil and sewage overboard while in port. Not too smart. The end of the week was celebrated by going to the Harvest Supper at the 5th Maine which this year was roast pork and very good. We were sorry our Pot Luck Group couldn't partake this year.
That is it for the moment. We will get a special E-mail off on I expect Tuesday. Love, Dad
