I was late last week so I am making up for it by being early this week.
WEATHER: We have been having fog, rain and drizzle most of the week including .2" of rain so far today with lots more to come tonight. Temp: HI 74 to 62, LO 53 to 64.
Sunday we had my usual Sunday morning breakfast followed by all of us going to church. Mom worked on the refreshments for after church (brownies and chocolate bunt cake). All were devoured. Came home & enjoyed just sitting and having lunch on the front porch. We also watched the Patriots game (the only one we got). We all rode around in the golf cart exploring the inner parts of the island just to prove to Mo and Laurie we have something other than water. Pizza for supper and 2 games of Liverpool - Mom and Laurie won for the co-championship.
Rainy day today, Monday. Caught 1000 boat to take Mo & Laurie to the airport via the Christmas Tree Store. Rain is kind of tough with the golf cart, but we made out OK. We ran a couple errands and finally had lunch at the Old Country Buffet. (We really couldn't decide where to eat.) Back on the 1515, the school boat. Liverpool is over, but it was fun while it lasted. 2 cruise ships today - Carnival Triumph & and Aurora both big ones.
Tue a new cruise ship to Portland, the Carnival Legend arrived. Routine day. I did some painting and worked to catch up on the mail. Wed more of the same. I finished the wood work around the basement double door, still have threshold to figure out on the tilty floor. Thu, because of the expected rain we took a couple suitcases to the car and had lunch of fish and chips at the Public Market. At night Mom went to play bingo with Marge et al. I went to a 5th Maine board meeting.
That gets us to Friday, today, which is a rainy, foggy, drizzly day so we have been puttering around the house and I have been cleaning off the desk.
Tomorrow, Saturday, be are going up to Oreno to watch the Rhode Island/Maine football game with Jeanne and Dick. We will meet them at the game. I hope it doesn't rain because I'm not about to sit through a game in the rain. We will spend the night up there some place because we start our Elderhostel on Sunday, 29 Sep ending Friday after lunch on 4 Oct. We will be at the Roosevelt-Campobello International Park Conference Center (in Canada), phone 506-752-2922 which is manned 24 hours a day.
That is about it for the moment. Love, Dad
